After a short hiatus, Montara returns—this time, with a full 9-piece band.
Blending jazz with Latin rhythms, soulful grooves and boundary-pushing fusion, Montara crafts music that moves bodies and minds in equal measure. Known for their improvisational fire and rhythmic depth, this show marks their first headline gig of 2025 and the debut of their new live format—a bold step forward in the band’s evolution.
This is more than just a gig. It’s the kickoff to a pivotal year of growth: with the recent release of Cosmic Jelly, upcoming singles Floating and No Me Vas a Parar, and a full-length album in the works, Montara is laying down the foundations for something bigger—and this night is the start of that journey.
Opening the night is Rita L’Oujdia, a genre-blending artist hailing from Morocco and raised in France. Fusing Latin, pop, and traditional North African sounds, Rita brings a rich, multicultural sonic palette—singing in Spanish, English, and Arabic. Her music is a bold celebration of identity and rhythm, and the perfect way to set the tone for a night where borders blur and grooves take over.
We’re taking over The Water Rats in King’s Cross, and we plan to fill the room with nothing but energy, sound, and movement. Tickets are limited—and once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of Montara’s biggest chapter yet.
