A unique creative experience inspired by ancient Japanese art. You’ll restore a piece with gold and take it home as a reminder that beauty lives not despite the breaks, but because of them, both outside and within us.
Rooted in 15th-century Japan, Kintsugi, meaning “to join with gold,” embodies the philosophy of finding beauty in renewal. Instead of hiding cracks, Kintsugi highlights them with gold lacquer, turning every line of repair into a symbol of strength, resilience, and transformation. It teaches that nothing is truly broken, only changed, and that our own imperfections can become sources of beauty and wisdom.
In this workshop, you’ll not only practice this meditative art technique, but also explore its deeper philosophy, connecting mindfulness with creativity.
No artistic experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to explore. You’ll be guided step-by-step to create your own golden piece imbued with meaning and quiet elegance. All materials are provided. Welcome to bring your own small pieces and if suitable can be used.
Limited spaces, early bird tickets available until 10 November
✨ First time at Firepit, don’t miss this unique opportunity!
