🪝 Ganchos first appeared in the Golden Age of tango, becoming widely known in the 1950s. They are figures of precision, control and daring. Rarely danced in crowded milongas, they bring sparkle and playfulness when space and timing allow.
In this 3-week workshop we’ll explore three types of Ganchos, moving from simple and elegant to more complex. Both roles — leader and follower — will learn how to execute ganchos with precision and control, discovering how to introduce them musically while keeping the beauty of salon style at the heart of the dance.
