Hope you're enjoying your summer this far! I'll have a 4 yo and 1 yo joining along. This is probably best for kiddos under 10yo, but all ages are welcome! Great for Momma's that are pushing strollers, as it's a paved walkway.
We do some walking, but the kids like to just play along the way (we let them lead the way) and it makes a great opportunity to chat with other homeschooling parents and build some connections!
I'm moving this to the second THURSDAY of the month going forward, from September onward, because we have other weekly commitments on Wednesdays starting in September.
We'll meet at the GOLD SEAL in front of Storybook Gardens (as seen in the main photo) around 10am. Then we can walk whichever way the group decides that day! The duck and fish in the pond seems to be a favourite among the littles!
We love chatting about the ducks and geese in the pond and counting them. In the warmer weather sometimes we'll spot fish in the water. And sometimes we are lucky enough to see a beaver! We like to explore the playground that is west of Storybook Gardens on occasion as well. As we head into Fall, it's always beautiful to witness the changing colours on the trees and how the leaves drop.
Reminder to pack your own water and snacks, as needed. This is not a drop off event, a parent must be present to monitor your child.
