ABOUT THIS EVENT
Why not come along, be outside, meet new people and discover some of the history of the Docklands. Our walks are fun and friendly.
Docklands History Walk
Tuesday 1st July 2025 : 6.00pm - 8.00pm
THE WALK
The walks, run by Canal & River Trust, will be led by walk leaders who are also full of interesting information about the local area.
The short circular walk will start and finish at the Entrance to Museum London Docklands, No. 1 Warehouse, West India Quay, London E14 4AL (what3words ///spot.oval.lives).
We will be looking at the history including how it's related to the transatlantic slave trade. The Walk Leader is a qualified historian with a huge amount of knowledge and experience.
This walk covers a short distance with stops at various points along the walk where the walk leader will share information related to the Docklands including the transatlantic slave trade.
Toilets are available at the beginning and end of the walk in the Museum of London Docklands. We also encourage you to look around and visit the free exhibitions.
The walk is accessible.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
WHAT YOU NEED
The great thing about walking is that you do not need any fancy equipment. Please just wear comfortable shoes and bring a jacket if raining.
