Customisation & Repair Workshop

Join our London Repair Specialist, Ruth Timms, to learn how to renew your clothing with customisation and repair.

Bring along a garment to repair, it could be something that has small holes or stains or just an item that you don’t wear much and needs some customisation to renew it.

Learn patching and appliqué techniques to cover any holes, and experiment with embroidery stitches to add decoration or cover any stains or marks.

Host Bio - Ruth Timms:

Ruth is a maker and repair specialist at Finisterre’s Neal Street store in Covent Garden, London. Sewing since a young age and trained in clothing design at Falmouth University, she is passionate about restoring personal connections to clothing and extending its lifecycle.

Outside of the London workshop, she works on repairs and alterations from her home in Kent or may be found foraging along the coast.
