Clowning Around With Carol Thompson

Not the big-shoes-squirty-flower-kind of clown, think releasing your unique inner clown, that free, fun, spontaneous and playful part of yourself that copes with life without being concerned about getting it right or being clever. There’ll be play and games galore courtesy of Clowning Facilitator, Laughter Leader and ray of sunshine, Carol Thompson.

Carol’s training was in English and Theatre Arts at the University of Toronto and the Drama Studio in London. She worked in Education and Theatre for some years and then qualified to be a Psychosynthesis therapeutic counsellor and an NLP Master Practitioner. Carol took these skills into business in the private and public sectors as a Communication Skills Trainer. In recent years she has become involved in the positive psychology movement as a Laughter Leader and Clowning Facilitator having trained with Vivian Gladwell of Nose to Nose, a person-centred approach to clowning. The skills she learned have enabled her to introduce and nurture clowning for so many different people in the UK, Europe, India and Canada.

Carol is passionate about helping people discover their play and joy. It’s always a delight for us to have her work with The Fun Fed.
