Class Lab: Elegant Solutions

A contemporary dance class rooted in release technique and designed for dancers seeking clarity and ease. We begin with a gentle warm-up, progressing from simple to more complex movement explorations—both in place and through space. Exercises and movement-based tasks support body awareness, elasticity, coordination, strength, and imagination. Each session concludes with dance phrases that draw from organic movement and offer elegant choreographic solutions.

Tailored to participants’ experience levels, the class helps keep the body in shape while fostering a lighthearted, supportive, and enjoyable atmosphere.

About the facilitator:

Stošija Zrinski is a London based freelance dancer, choreographer, actor, and multimedia artist from Zadar, Croatia. She holds a master’s degree in contemporary dance from the London Contemporary Dance School and a bachelor’s in fashion design from the Faculty of Textile Technology in Zagreb. She has performed her own dance works, including Travelogue, Dwelling Place, and 18 Degrees Below the Horizon, and has collaborated with Budilica Theatre, SAVVY Theatre, 4 Kingdoms Adventure Park and Coddiwomple Theatre. She also leads workshops for dance organizations in Croatia and the UK.

CLASS LAB is a class development scheme at Chisenhale Dance Space which helps experienced artists launch sustainable teaching practices through subsidised space, mentoring, and marketing support.
