About the event

Carnival at the Boundaries: public participation in research in health
This seminar will explore the role of public participation in complex design collaborations in health and healthcare settings.

About this Event

This seminar will explore the role of public participation in complex design collaborations in health. Our panel will focus on unpacking different issues surrounding public participation and participatory processes in research by bringing together perspectives from design and healthcare. Together we will explore tensions in the way we approach and undertake research with a focus on collaborative and design-based methodologies.

The seminar will begin with short presentations from our speaker panel to introduce their research and/or practice and unpack how they work with complex collaboration. This will be followed by deeper discussion between the speakers and the audience to make explicit the challenges of these limitations and to surface insights and possibilities for future ways of working.
