At our Beginner Birding program at Fanshawe Conservation Area you will learn about the wonderous world of birds in our region! Learn tips and tricks about how to spot local birds, use binoculars, and identify different species. You will also learn some calls and songs of local bird species! We will go on a nature walk through the forest and meadow to discover what birds are all around us. By the end, you will be ready to head out bird watching with some tools and knowledge to recognize common birds.
No prior knowledge about birds is necessary. You are encouraged to bring binoculars if you have them! Some binoculars will be available to borrow during the event. The Beginner Birding event is open to folks of all ages! However, all children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
We canโt wait to explore with you!
