Baddest Squid & Friends - Sakura Sound

Baddest Squid is a soundscape project formed in the dawn sessions of Stockwell Skate Park aka Brixton Beach London. The project is comprised of F£RG MON£Y (Perimeter Jam) on modular synthesis, Chris Lartey on MPC beat making, and Levin Pfeufer on wind instruments, sub-bass and dub.

Along with guest musicians, performance and video artists Baddest Squid celebrates diverse narratives of sonic, visual and physical storytelling. The collective sound and creative flexibility enables responses to themes that are both personal and universal.

Baddest Squid create experimental soundscapes, telling stories embracing multifaceted ranges of the human experience of self and other, singularity and community, spiritual and otherworldly. These narratives take form from a complex pallet including modular synthesis, live MPC beat making and manipulation, wind-dub from a variety of instruments played real time, spoken word, movement and video projection.
