Guest Speaker: Iris Yunke Li
Iris Yunke Li's research focuses on psychogeography in post-millennial Chinese cinematic cities, drawing from film studies, urban theory, anthropology, and sociology. She explores how contemporary Chinese films represent the sensory and emotional dynamics between urban space and its inhabitants. Her project centres on cities such as Shenzhen, Wuhan, and Hangzhou, which remain underexplored in Western scholarship. She has also organised and participated in several film screening events related to Chinese and urban cinema. She completed her MA for Research at the University of Warwick, and her BA at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, with study experience at National Taiwan University and UC Berkeley.
