2025 Great River Race - Safety Fleet Event Invite

Northern Exposure Rescue (on behalf of the Great River Race Trust) has been asked to organise the safety cover for the 2025 Great River Race.

We are looking for 35 ribs or similar low freeboard boats to act as safety boats. Boats must be greater than 4m LOA. The skipper and crew must be RYA safety boat qualified with first aid tickets and VHF operators licence.

Launching will be early on Saturday morning in West London and their will be a safety briefing at 0830 at Masthouse Terrace Pier which all boats must attend.

Safety boats will then follow the 300 competitors up river for 21.6 miles to Ham House.

The Great River Race Trust have agreed to cover expenses for tow vehicle fuel, boat fuel and ULEZ charges. Camping will also be available on Friday and Saturday night FOC.
