Fermentation Workshop with Syrat & Sånt 🥬🫙
Have you thought about making your own sauerkraut but never tried it?
Or have you read about all the health benefits of fermented vegetables and wonder how to make it?
Maybe you are a sauerkraut lover or have never tasted it.
Regardless, this practical workshop in fermentation is for you.
Morning: We’ll start by going over what fermentation is and the different ways you can ferment vegetables. Then we’ll grab our cutting board and knife and get started!
Afternoon: We learn to ferment vegetables in salt water and use seasonal local produce as our starting point. Here the flavor combinations are endless! Here too, everyone gets a jar of homemade fermented vegetables.
No prior knowledge required.
The ticket fee of 150SEK includes fika and lunch (pizza and salad!) with drinks🥤

We are excited to invite Simon Lussi, one of the founders of the company Syrat & Sånt, for this workshop! Syrat & Sånt produces organic, handmade, fermented products on his farm in Sälshög in Österlen. Simon has many years of experience in fermentation, cultivation and processing for selfsufficiency.
This workshop is part of the SERISS workshop series. SERISS, stand for for building Social & Environmental Resilience in the Swedish food System, is supporting us (through a combination of theoretical and practical workshops, community-building and co-creation) to promote agroecology as a key solution for creating a sustainable and resilient food system, while fostering education, community building, and a deeper connection to nature.
