Outreach York - Lombard (LV: Corey Kniesel)

***FAMILY FRIENDLY***

Volunteer numbers for this project are based on adults and children ages 11 and older. Younger children are encouraged to attend with their parents but registration is NOT needed for any child 10 and under.

What sort of work will I be doing?

LANDSCAPING: Weeding, adding dirt and mulching. Planting flowers in pots and planting vegetables and wildflower seeds in landscape areas. Reconnect irrigation system. Assemble raised garden bed.

CLEANING: Organize and clean an attic, deep clean offices, basement and kitchen area, clean and detail a van, clean playground equipment and clean six AC units.

PAINTING: Sand and stain three picnic tables.

DECORATING/BOOK SORTING: Put together bulletin board decorations and sort through books.

VOLUNTEERS SHOULD BRING (If you are able):

• WATER to drink
• Wheelbarrows (2 needed)
• Rakes (4 needed)
• Shovels / Pitchforks (4 needed)
• Trowels
• Shears
• Work gloves/garden gloves
• Tools for assembling raised garden bed
• Car vacuum and extension cord
• Car detailing brushes
• Painting clothes if painting

• OPTIONAL: Hat, Sunscreen, and Bug Spray
