The presentation features the trailer of the documentary film
‘Whose is this Song?’ by Adela Peeva, which was the inspiration for
the book named ‘Whose is this Song? Balkan Nationalism, Greece
and Shared Culture, edited by Eleni Elefterias-Kostakidis. The book
features contributions from leading academics all experts in their
fields, as well as travel writers, journalists and historians including
Dr Alfred Vincent, Professor Marian Tutui (Budapest University),
Professor Vrasidas Karalis, Professor Nicholas Doumanis, Dr
Michael Karadjis, Dr Helen Vatsikopoulos, George Michelakakis,
Billy Cotsis, Jorge Sotirios, Costa Vertsayias and Eleni Elefterias-
Kostakidis, including a foreword by Mary Kostakidis. The event will
also feature three songs, two in Greek and one in Bosnian, drawn
from shared Balkan melodies, followed by a discussion about the
topic of shared culture.
