At Odd Fox Events, we are committed to two things: continuing to deliver our own well-organised, professional competitions, and helping other organisers set up and run their events to the same high standard.
Our mission is to empower martial arts organisers to run smooth, professional, and stress-free competitions by maximising the full potential of Smoothcomp. We have experience with many rulesets, including JJIF, IBJJF, and more. Just send us a message, tell us your ruleset, and we’ll build it for you—once it’s done, you’ll never have to set it up again. We currently work with events such as the Welsh Jujitsu Nationals, the Jitsuka Open, and the Flanders Open, supporting competitions across the UK and Europe.
Organisers know the struggles: setting up Smoothcomp takes hours, last-minute dropouts cause chaos, and events often run late—frustrating athletes, parents, and coaches. Odd Fox solves these problems. By simply sending us your Smoothcomp event code, you gain access to pre-built templates that include categories, weight divisions, mat layouts, and preloaded backup brackets. These ensure that if competitors drop out or brackets change, updates happen instantly at the touch of a button. Our team also monitors and updates everything in real time, so your event runs smoothly and on schedule.
We also provide support in using advanced Smoothcomp features such as live streaming, on-screen scoreboards, and other tools that take your event from functional to professional. Many organisers can work Smoothcomp manually, but we take away the stress and streamline the process so you can focus on running a great event instead of fighting last-minute problems.
All Odd Fox events can also be linked into our ranking system, giving athletes, coaches, and clubs a transparent way to track progress across competitions. Every linked event feeds into rankings for its ruleset, showing competitors exactly how they stack up across multiple events. This motivates athletes to stay active, defend their ranking, and enter more events—often increasing participation and growth for organisers.
Beyond templates, the Odd Fox team can also be on-site at your event to provide hands-on support, ensuring everything runs on time and without delays. And for those who want to host a competition but don’t know where to start, we offer a “competition in a box” service: we’ll guide you through the entire process, provide all the systems and templates, and handle the logistics—so your only focus is attracting competitors.
Importantly, while Odd Fox supports the structure of your event, we have no access to your financials. You remain in full control of entry fees, refunds, and all payments, and you keep full ownership and rights to your event. We handle the technical legwork, but you stay in charge of the business side.
