We have a place for everyone in the GMSMA Team; from 10 Years+ or Green Belt and above up to our Instructor & Assistant Team.
Whether you just want to give a little back or are looking to upskill or gain new skills the joining our Team could be for you :)
10-12 Years (or Green Belt) - Leadership Team
Our youngest Team members will learn admin roles and take a key part in class warm ups, assisting with new Students, Pad Holding, Setting up and putting away games etc. They will also work with other Team Members in Skill Groups helping teach and develop student skills.
Assistants - 13+ Yellow Belt and above.
Assistants are Teens and Adults who come along to help with the running of class; Admin Roles, helping during warm ups, assisting beginners and supported in helping in our small groups.
Assistant Instructors - 13+ Red/Black Belts
As above but with more focus on leading areas of class warm ups, setting up Class Plans, Learning Skill Specific games for our Little Ninja & Kicking Kid Programmes. Running Skill Groups and awarding Badges/Stripes etc
Instructors - 18+ Blackbelts
Responsible for all elements of class; Organising leadership & assistant teams for session, implementing class plan, ensuring student development, liaising with parents and new beginners and dealing with any issues arising in class.
We have something for everyone in our Team, from those just coming along to help for 1 class a week all the way up to those who would like a carer in teaching Martial Arts.
