The American Symphony��This concert will showcase two views of the symphonic form from the two American composers. Hanson created a popular work that Virgil Thompson called, “the epitome of the 20th century symphony. Beach’s symphony, the first written and published by an American woman, took its’ inspiration from her Scottish and Irish ancestry.
