🌟 VSA NSW Presents: Lanterns of Legacy 🌟

🕯️ 𝗩𝗦𝗔 𝗡𝗦𝗪 is proud to announce the return of our annual ✨𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘿𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧✨ in 2025! In this milestone year, we commemorate 50 years of Vietnamese settlement in Australia, a journey illuminated by 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒, 𝑐𝑢𝑙𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒, and the 𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑢𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑡ℎ of our community.


From across 6 university teams — USYD, UNSW, WSU, UTS, MQU, and our STATE team — we come together not only to celebrate our rich Vietnamese heritage through music🎵, dance💃, and performance🎭 but also to give back to those in need. 💖

Last year, our charity of choice was 👫Zen Tea Lounge Foundation👫, in which we successfully raised over $8,000, a significant achievement for us and our sponsors!🎉 This year, our vision is to make the Charity Dinner 𝐵𝐼𝒢𝒢𝐸𝑅 , 𝐁𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑, and more 𝐼𝑀𝒫𝒜𝒞𝒯𝐹𝒰𝐿.

Lanterns of Legacy honors the rich heritage of the Vietnamese Community and its remarkable journey in Australia over the past 50 years 🌤️. The theme celebrates the enduring beauty of Vietnamese culture and its timeless traditions, symbolising a beacon of hope, guidance, and continuity . We highlight the importance of preserving cultural heritage as well as the passing of knowledge, stories, and values from one generation to the next whilst illuminating the path forward for future generations 🩵. As we reflect on half a century of settlement, Lanterns of Legacy shines a light on the achievements, resilience, and shared dreams that continue to guide our community towards a bright and united future 🌙

Vietnam Foundation is an organisation that serves as a bridge between Australia and Vietnam. They are dedicated to supporting the education, healthcare, and development of underserved communities in Vietnam, particularly focusing on disadvantaged children and families. The foundation aims to break the cycle of poverty by empowering individuals through education, healthcare, and sustainable community development programs. Their work embodies the legacy we strive to preserve — a legacy of empowerment, compassion, and connection across generations and borders. Your contributions will help fund essential programs for vulnerable children and families in Vietnam, offering them the opportunity to thrive and lead empowered lives.
