Meet Local Author T. Fitzgerald
T. Fitzgerald has been a lifelong lover of words—both reading and writing have always been a vital part of her spirit. As she approached 60, she made herself a promise: to submit her first manuscript before turning 61. That manuscript became her debut book, published just one month shy of her 61st birthday. Since then, the floodgates have opened—she has since released two more books, each a deeply personal and reflective journey through healing, spirituality, and self-discovery.
Writing is her passion hobby, and her works are steeped in the themes closest to her heart: spirituality, nature, epiphany, enlightenment, presence, and the sacred art of holding space. Her first book, Jesus Freak Buddha Geek, is a powerful blend of personal anecdotes—moments of reprieve and joy carved out of a childhood shaped by trauma. It also chronicles her spiritual awakening and her embrace of a broad and inclusive approach to faith and philosophy.
Her second book, Autumntide, continues the journey with a collection of essays on joy, self-forgiveness, and embracing the full beauty of life, even (and especially) in the face of one’s so-called “shortcomings.”
Her latest release, Belongingness, is her most transformative yet—a tapestry of epiphanies, heartfelt acknowledgments, and the sacred act of letting go. It is here that T. Fitzgerald experienced a major turning point: the realization that true healing doesn’t come from forgetting trauma or doing everything “right,” but in the loving acknowledgment of one’s truth, the release of misplaced shame, and the tender care of the inner child. It’s also a celebration of the belonging she has found—in her faith, her family, and her chosen community.
T. Fitzgerald writes not just to tell her story, but to create connection, encourage healing, and hold space for others to find joy, meaning, and peace on their own terms.
