MEET OUR HOSTS:

Joanne Tan | Joanne has dedicated 19 years to celebrating culture and building community through her passion for events planning, strategic project management and sales leadership. Before starting Good Morning Maxwell in downtown Livermore in 2020, Joanne lent her talents to hospitality and recreational services. There, she led her team with passion as Vice President of Sales & Employee Engagement. For many years, Joanne’s work in parks and recreation spanned across 27 different regional, state, and national parks across five states. She coordinated events which incorporated the talents of local artists and chefs – this included weddings and vacation experiences of a lifetime. But ultimately, her service heart led her back to her home in the Tri-Valley. Her business, Good Morning Maxwell, honors the Livermore community by providing physical space and hosting events like lunch and learns, coffee chats, makers’ markets, and workshops to promote and support local small businesses and their entrepreneurial leaders.

True to her values for creating a place of belonging through a strong communal network, Joanne earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication from De La Salle University-Manila and holds an Executive Management Certificate from Yale School of Management, in New Haven, Connecticut. Joanne’s focus is to help people with great ideas turn their passion into profit. GMM serves as a platform and a safe space where budding local entrepreneurs have an opportunity to blossom and gain visibility within their community. Even when not planning events, art imitates life as Joanne spends her time being a self-proclaimed locavore and food enthusiast, exploring local restaurants with her 11-year-old boy Liam Maxwell, husband Charles, and furry Aussie-labradoodle boy Sunny.

Krystal Jugarap | Krystal is the Founder of BOOKofBIJOUX and EM/POWEREDbyWMN. She is an international award-winning speaker, writer, podcast host, philanthropist, self-proclaimed community hypewoman, and most importantly, momma to 2 little girls and a baby boy.

Through the EM/POWEREDbyWMN platform, she has cultivated a community that continues to uplift women in entrepreneurship through vendor fairs, networking events, annual summits, the EM/POWEREDbyWMN podcast, their online Woman Owned Small Business Directory which now highlights more than 100 woman-owned brands, and so much more. Their community is all about creating spaces for visibility, connection, and shared resources and Krystal’s mission is really to remind women and future generations that they are not only capable but so worthy of creating lives and businesses they love.
