IT WAS WRITTEN IN THE STARS CLOSING LIBATION CEREMONY

Join us on Saturday, August 16th at 3PM for the closing ceremony of IT WAS WRITTEN IN THE STARS.
This powerful exhibition by CC Mercer Watson explores African ancestry from The Middle Passage to the cosmos through the mediums of hand-stitched quilting and poetry. Each piece invites reflection on how our stories are connected across time and space.
The closing event will include a libation ceremony led by Ryan D. Davis, honoring the ancestors and spiritual energies evoked in the work. A reception with the artist will follow, offering a final opportunity to engage with Watson and her work.
