St. Francis Music Center String Orchestras present Christmas concert

Join the St. Francis Orchestra and the St. Francis Brass Ensemble Friday, December 12, at 7 p.m. for A Silent Night in Scarborough, a Christmas program. Also featured will be harp soloist Holly Shaw, who will perform festive pieces for the audience to enjoy. The concert will take place in Sacred Heart Chapel on the campus of the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, 116 8th Avenue SE, Little Falls.

Everyone is welcome to this evening celebrating the music of the season! The concert will present three string orchestras from St. Francis Music Center. These orchestras are open to all string players from the central Minnesota area, from grade school ages through adults. The program features Christmas pieces alongside fun family works, such as music from Frozen. The finale of the concert will feature members of the St. Francis Community Chorale in a performance of The Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s Christmas Canon from “The Christmas Attic” (1998). Christmas Canon is set to the tune of Pachelbel's Canon in D with Christmas tunes sprinkled within.
