Stories, Stars and S'mores at E.M.B.A.R.C. Community Youth Farm

In partnership with the Redan-Trotti Library and GA Tech School of Physics, we invite you to come to a special holiday story time and explore the night sky at the Farm! We’ll have telescopes and binoculars available for sky viewing as well as marshmallows to toast and campfire to keep warm. We will start with Ms. Emilee, librarian at Redan-Trotti Library, reading around the campfire as we sip warm beverages. At various times during the evening, GA Tech Observatory Director and astronomy professor, Jim Sowell, will highlight visible constellations and planets.

What to Bring and How to Prepare:

• Flashlight/Headlamp
• Weather-Appropriate Clothing: The temperature will drop at night, so bring a jacket or layers to stay warm.
• Closed-Toe Shoes
• Blanket/Folding Chair: If you plan to stay and view the stars for an extended period, bringing something to sit or lie on can make the experience more comfortable.
• Lastly, bring water and snacks to enjoy by the fire pit

This event is perfect for all ages and offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and the night sky. Looking forward to seeing you at the Farm!
