Roam & Reflect - Sweetwater Creek

Sweet Water Creek State Park - Red Trail (2.3 miles round trip)

*This is considered a moderate hike and we will take a break mid-way for some self -reflection and stillness. The majority of the trail is riverside, so expect fantastic river views accompanied by uneven areas with roots and rocks to traverse. We plan to roam, not rush throught this hike, but be sure to wear supportive shoes and bring a hiking stick or trekking poles if you need some extra stability over rough terrain.

What to expect:

• Meet-up at the visitor center entrance closest to the trailhead. If you are running late, please communicate your ETA with the organizer.
• We will start off with some light, dynamic stretches and a reflection prompt to ponder throughout our excursion
• We will begin a moderately-paced hike through the woods as a group
• At some point we can take a longer break to refuel with water, snacks and enjoy whatever view or body of water we are near
• After completing the hike, we will close by stretching the main muscle groups used. This will also be an opportunity to share any reflections or manifestations you would like to with the group.

BYO:

• Backpack/fanny pack
• Water bottle (Please bring more than you think you will need)
• Snacks or sack lunch
• Wear supportive shoes suitable for walking on an unpaved trail
• *Pets are welcome! Please be sure your furry friends are up-to-date on vaccinations and on a leash at all times

• PLEASE< be sure to eat something before the hike and bring PLENTY of water, especially if it will be hot. We are going to be exerting energy, so please plan accordingly.

PARKING: $5 (cash or allow time to pay at the visitor center)
