Council is preparing a long‑term Growth Management Strategy (GMS) to guide how our LGA grows and develops. The GMS is about creating a sustainable, resilient and liveable future, managing growth in a way that supports local jobs, protects our environment and rural lands, and keeps the character we value.
These information sessions are a chance to learn what the Growth Management Strategy is all about, why it matters, and how it could shape the future of your town or neighbourhood. As a drop-in session, please feel free to come along at any time to ask questions and talk to members of the project team.
Studies that will be delivered to support the Growth Management Strategy include:
· Local Housing Strategy
· Employment Lands Strategy
· Rural Lands Strategy
· Local Environmental Planning (LEP) Review Report
· Infrastructure Capacity and Prioritisation Plan
Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a resident, landowner, business owner, renter, young person or part of a local group. No matter who you are or where you live in the LGA, your voice matters.
