Nature Journal Club - July - Insects + More

Join us as we dive into the world of nature journaling with this in-person, facilitated session. This month we will highlight various bugs that live in the region. Learn about their unique life cycles, their importance within our ecosystem, and how to support them within your own backyard or natural spaces.

Museum specimens will be on display to sketch from. Weather permitting, we will include a nature walk to examine insects and more on our campus nature trail.

Through this club, we will spend dedicated time exploring, observing, and recording the natural world. We will highlight the basics of keeping a nature journal, different methods of organizing one, features and elements of a nature journal, and much more.

Please bring a blank notebook, pen/pencil, and a ruler. This program is intended for adults, but older kids/teens are welcome if accompanied by an adult.

No experience necessary, you just have to be willing to give it a try! All programs are listed under the events on the EEAI NE Region Facebook group.
