Bad Actors
Taking the Sheffield music scene by storm, funk-rock duo Bad Actors are fast making a name for themselves as “the men in orange.” Since forming in summer 2023, the riff-heavy pair have carved out a bold sound and look that’s already turning heads – even catching the ear of Huey Morgan (Fun Lovin’ Criminals), who praised them as “a great new band” and invited them to join his 2025 tour. Their music draws comparisons to Hendrix and Red Hot Chili Peppers, though the band themselves cite influences like Living Colour, The Police, and Sly and The Family Stone.
On stage, frontman Khalil is a whirlwind of scissor-kicks, stage tricks, and unstoppable energy, while Jay’s laid-back yet punchy drumming keeps the groove flowing. Together, their lifelong friendship fuels a high-energy dynamic and undeniable chemistry. Having already stormed slots at Tramlines and Y Not Festival, and with their viral mini-music videos reaching over 600K people a month, Bad Actors are painting the town orange – and won’t stop until they do.
Skabo
Local alt-rock trio Skabo have been shaking up the Lincoln scene for over three years, blending raw power with groove and atmosphere. Their original songs and creative twists on well-loved covers mix Nirvana’s grunge bite with Jamiroquai’s funk and a hint of Wunderhorse’s edge, creating a sound that’s both heavy and hypnotic.
Nights Like These
Lincoln-based four-piece Nights Like These bring jangly Marr-esque riffs, sharp observational lyricism, and a mix of indie and alt-rock influences. Think the melodic bite of The Smiths, the drive of Nothing But Thieves, and the emotion of Paramore. With Hannah Pywell on vocals, Ben Walker on lead guitar/production, Joe Pitchford on drums, and Owen Bullas on bass, they’re carving out their own space in the indie scene – fresh, exciting, and ready to be discovered.
