Το House of Science – Σπίτι της Επιστήμης σας προσκαλεί σε μια μοναδική βραδιά αφιερωμένη στη σπάνια ολική έκλειψη Σελήνης, η οποία θα είναι πλήρως ορατή από την Κύπρο για πρώτη φορά μετά το 2018.
🌒 Κατά τη διάρκεια του φαινομένου, η Σελήνη θα βυθιστεί στη σκιά της Γης για περισσότερο από μία ώρα, χαρίζοντάς μας την εντυπωσιακή εικόνα του «ματωμένου φεγγαριού». Παράλληλα, μέσα από ομιλίες και δράσεις, θα αναδειχθεί η επιστημονική σημασία μιας ολικής έκλειψης σελήνης και η ομορφιά της αστρονομίας.
👉 Η εκδήλωση θα λάβει χώρα στην ημικυκλική αποβάθρα του Μόλου Λεμεσού, έναντι του Café Nero. Θα ξεκινήσει στις 19:00 με την ανατολή της Σελήνης. Η μερική έκλειψη ξεκινά στις 19:27, ενώ η ολική έκλειψη διαρκεί από τις 20:30, μέχρι τις 21:52.
🔭 Στον χώρο θα υπάρχουν τηλεσκόπια διαθέσιμα για το κοινό, ώστε οι επισκέπτες να παρακολουθήσουν από κοντά τη Σελήνη αλλά και τον πλανήτη Κρόνο με τους δακτυλίους του. Επιπλέον, οι παρευρισκόμενοι θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να δοκιμάσουν τις γνώσεις τους σε ένα διασκεδαστικό παιχνίδι γνώσεων και να μάθουν περισσότερα για τη Σελήνη μέσα από εκπαιδευτικό υλικό και δραστηριότητες.

🌕✨ Experience the Magic of the Total Lunar Eclipse!

The House of Science invites you to a unique evening dedicated to the rare total lunar eclipse, which will be fully visible from Cyprus for the first time since 2018.
🌒 During the phenomenon, the Moon will remain in the Earth’s shadow for over an hour, offering the stunning sight of the so-called “blood moon”. At the same time, through talks and activities, the scientific importance of a total lunar eclipse and the beauty of astronomy will be highlighted.
👉 The event will take place at the semi-circular pier of Limassol Molos, opposite Café Nero. It will begin at 19:00 with the moonrise. The partial eclipse begins at 19:27, while the total eclipse will last from 20:30 until 21:52.
🔭 Telescopes will be available on site for the public, giving visitors the opportunity to observe the Moon up close, as well as the planet Saturn with its spectacular rings. In addition, attendees will have the chance to test their knowledge through a fun quiz game and learn more about the Moon through educational material and activities.
