Q&A with CEO of MMP Denise Ora

As you would be aware, the Metropolitan Memorial Parks recently announced that Carnarvon Golf Club is their preferred site to be converted into a cemetery at the end of its lease in 2035, and that they have now started an 8 week community consultation process.

We have invited the CEO of Metropolitan Memorial Parks, Denise Ora, to come and participate in a question-and-answer session with members and local residents on Friday September 19. We will insert a moderator, and have some other invitations outstanding, that would potentially turn the session into a panel discussion. We will keep you update as this develops. This is an opportunity for you to raise your concerns and express your views directly to the CEO of Metropolitan Memorial Parks, and to potentially influence the contents of the report that they will prepare for Minister Kamper at the conclusion of the consultation period.

We encourage as many members as possible to attend this meeting to demonstrate opposition to the proposal. For those who will be attending and wish to ask a question or express an opinion, we do ask that you do so in a respectful manner. It does look to be an informative evening developing…

The meeting will start at 6.30pm on Friday September 19 in the Club house function room.
