The Bank Hall grounds will be open for the National Heritage Open Day. This years theme is 'Architecture' and we have a brand new display for this event that will focus on the Kendal based architect George Webster who remodelled Bank Hall in 1832-1833. The display will not only feature Bank Hall, but also the other historical buildings also designed by Webster within the local area of Preston.
There will be craft stalls in the walled garden and you can explore the woodland and find our special trees on our tree trail!
On the Prospect Tower and Exhibition you will discover the history of the house, the story of how it was saved from a ruin and how its former residents influenced the local area.
🆓 Entrance is FREE to the grounds and craft fair stalls in accordance to the Heritage Open Days.
⏰ Grounds open at 12pm until 4pm.
🏰 Prospect Tower and Exhibition visits are limited to 30 people per tour and will require pre-booking!
⏰ Tours are at 11am & 1pm
