As many of you know, after 17 years of #PoetryInMotion, we brought back a different iteration of "poetry night" last year through an event called Soulbrations Open Mic Series (Hosted by Devine Carama and sponsored by SoulnRoses) featuring JK-47.
We took some time off a couple of years ago, assessed the city's needs, and felt this spring was the perfect time to bring back an authentic open mic where CULTURE is the priority. We've tinkered with the format a bit (not too much) to highlight upcoming poets and vocalists while also being a safe space for "everyday folks" to come out and express themselves regularly. We are excited to patronize a new Halligan's Bar & Grill venue in the Manchester district! Doors open at 8 pm, and the show starts at 8:30 pm. Tell a friend and join us. It's going to be a SOULbration!!! We have sets on the second Tuesday of each month, so we look forward to seeing you July 8th!

Remember, this is a poetry night! There will be times and moments in the evening to turn up and have a good time, but please be respectful when the performer is on the mic. That moment of expression could be life-changing for them or someone else!
Doors open at 8 pm, and poetry starts at 8:30 pm! Seating is limited, so get there early!
