Wildlife artist Lindsey Kiser will demonstrate and discuss scratchboard. This rare fine art medium requires "subtractive" techniques, in which sharp tools are used to scratch through a dark ink-covered top surface to reveal a white kaolin clay layer underneath, to create detailed, high contrast images with fine lines and precise textures. Kiser’s Wondrous Pollinators scratchboard series is featured in the Charley Harper exhibition.
