Bird Banding with Steve McKee!

Bird banding is a scientific field where wild birds are captured and a metal bracelet with a unique code is added to their leg. This allows the bird to be identified in the future and its movements tracked. Want to learn all about bird banding? Then come join former Director Steve Mckee for a program all about bird banding! Participants will get to watch birds be taken out of nets, and be seen and interpreted up close! This free program will be held at Gorman Nature Center on February 28th from 9-11 am.
