A Night of Praise is a fundraiser for Melanie Norris, a resident of Glasgow and beloved church member of Faith Mountain Baptist Church. Melanie is the wife of Chris Norris and devoted mother to Presley and Matthew. On November 18th, Melanie faced a life‑threatening emergency and suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while driving, which led to a serious auto accident. Thanks to the quick response of first responders, Melanie was brought back to life twice then quickly airlifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital. While at RMH, Melanie spent many days in ICU receiving life‑saving care including defibrillator placement surgery.
Incredibly, after just one week, Melanie was able to return home to her family and community. While we celebrate her recovery, the medical costs and unexpected expenses remain overwhelming. This fundraiser is an opportunity to come together and praise the Lord for Melanie's life, show our love, and help ease the burden for Melanie and her family.
