The NaturePause program is a monthly gathering designed to help midlife women reconnect with nature and themselves. Each session is a blend of guided nature therapy walks, mindfulness practices, forest bathing and gentle reflection, all aimed at fostering emotional balance, clarity, and well-being. Each month brings a different theme.
🍂 As autumn gently shifts into winter, join us for our Letting go in Fall, Nature Therapy walk, a peaceful time to reflect on what we’re ready to let go.
Just as the trees shed their leaves, we’ll explore how we, too, can let go of what no longer serves us, making space for rest.
📍 We’ll be meeting on the Black Jack Trail, at LLELA, a beautiful, quiet nature preserve in Lewisville.
🌳 The session begins with a slow, mindful walk through a Cross Timbers forest dominated by post oak, cedar elm, and blackjack oak. The atmosphere immediately invites you to relax and ground yourself.
✨ Through focused breathing and gentle movement, you’ll be guided to fully experience the present moment. Expect moments of Reflection, Meditation, Grounding, Journaling, and/or Nature Art.
🍵 At the end of the walk, we’ll gather for a tea ceremony and a sharing circle, where we’ll talk about our experiences and support each other on our midlife journey. You’ll leave feeling lighter, calm, and connected to Nature, the other participants, and yourself.
📍 Meet: Visitor Center, Black Jack Trail. After passing the entrance (there’s a $5 parking fee per vehicle), you’ll see the gate to the Visitor Center on your right. Google Maps will help you find us easily!
🧳 What to bring: Water, comfy walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothes (layers are best in fall!), bug spray, and a sitting pad or towel for when we sit down to reflect.
