Science Day

Celebrate 25 years of the restoration of the Emiquon Preserve by participating in a Science Day!

Discover how macroinvertebrates help us understand the health of aquatic ecosystems. This hands-on program is for high school students and adults who are excited to get into the wetland and learn about the importance of these tiny creatures. Participants will wade into the wetland (waders provided) to collect samples of the macroinvertebrates. Afterwards, they will sort and examine their finds using microscopes back at the field station lab.

Participants must provide their own transportation between the field station and preserve. Space is limited. Email ZW1pcXVvbiB8IHRuYyAhIG9yZw== to register. This program is free.
