Trauma Medical Fundamentals 8/17/25 9am-5pm

Do you carry a gun? Do you participate in outdoor activities? Do you drive a car? Does your husband have a chainsaw? If you answered yes to any of these questions it is imperative that you have the equipment and the knowledge to manage severe bleeding and other types of medical emergencies.

Your primary instructor will be Dan Hatterer. Dan has been a state certified EMT for 16 years and is an HSI certified BLS and Stop life threatening bleeding instructor. He’s served York and Lancaster Counties pre hospital and has worked in the emergency department as well.

This class will earn you an HSI Stop Life Threatning Bleeding Certificate

Topics covered will Include:
Bleeding Control
Airway Management
Breathing/Chest Trauma
Shock / Hypothermia.
Burns
Head or eye injuries
Environmental.


If your family owns emergency medical equipment or med kits we would highly encourage you to bring it in order for us to evaluate your choices. You will also have the option of ordering kits from us on site.

Please bring personal comfort items including lunch, note taking material, and drinks. Class will be held in the classroom at West Shore Sportsman’s Association 562 Ridge Road Lewisberry PA 17339.
