About the event

Stories & Songs of the Sea -Sunset & Lighthouse Tour from Lewes Ferry
Join Cape Waters Tours and the Sussex County Singers, part of Historic Lewes for “Stories & SONGS of the Sea” on Thursday May 15, from 7pm – 9pm for a sunset cruise to the East End Lighthouse. Explore the inside of this 1885 historic landmark while being regaled by stories of the past, and a set of historic shanties.

Sea shanties were the work songs of the 18th and 19th centuries that kept those aboard ship working in unison to raise the sails, drop the anchor, and a myriad of other duties. Climb aboard and your only duty (besides BYOB) will be to sing along and add to this unique experience!
