Are you passionate about your community? Want to help shape the future — and get paid while doing it? We're looking to bring together 20 local residents from all walks of life to take part in a unique opportunity running in August and September 2025
Get trained and paid to engage in community conversations with your family, friends, neighbours or colleagues, about the future of Methil and Methilhill.
We are holding an information session on Tuesday 24th of June from 6-8pm in the MCCI Garden. You can drop in anytime between 6-8pm to learn more about the opportunity and help us shape what the engagement looks like.
Questions we will be asking on the night include:
How much time would you be willing to spend talking about; the local place plan the local community development plans, and Fife Climate action plan?
What sort of engagements have been exciting or interesting in the past?
What’s worked in the past and what’s not worked?
Do you prefer online or in-person to have these conversations?
What do you want to see in Methil and Methilhill?
What areas would you most like to discuss? Health, Climate, local planning, environment?
There will be tea and biscuits provided and a £10 cash/voucher for contributing ideas about how to engage in your neighbourhood. These conversations will help inform the Methil & Methilhill Local Place Plan and the Fife Climate Action Plan
No experience needed — just your interest, ideas, and willingness to have conversations.
Flexible, informal sessions — decide times and dates as a group when we get started.
Payment or vouchers will be provided for your time and contribution to this project (£15 p/h)
You will also receive £10 for attending the information session on the 24th of June
