Joshua Beebe is a dedicated father and artist of many mediums. Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario he now resides in Taber, Alberta, celebrating the famous local corn and many talented musicians and creatives nearby. A force behind the scenes, he creates, produces, and performs wherever he can, promoting positivity, community, and music. Joshua performs primarily in the folk genre and is often seen with an acoustic guitar strapped to his back. A passionate songwriter and ambitious performer, he additionally experiments with the indie alternative genre and rap music, never limiting himself to a style or niche. In 2019, Joshua was recognized for his songwriting, successfully winning #1 in the South County Fair songwriting competition.

Willy Big Bull hails from the Piikani Nation and has been writing and performing throughout Southern Alberta for over a decade. Currently residing in Sikoohkotoki (Lethbridge), Big Bull will be bringing his band WinterCount to Upside Downtown. Guy Plecash (piano, bass and vocals) along with Wane Summers (percussion), both of Calgary, will be joining Willy for an evening packed with gritty blues, rock and soul, “I’ve been jamming with these fellas for some time now, they share over 100 years of music and experience, it’s like playing with a couple of human jukeboxes“. Willy’s Self Titled EP shares deep rooted stories of triumph and tribulation, accompanied by powerful arrangements and melodic undertones that welcomes everyone into the circle.
