As the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization (LSCO) celebrates its 50th year, we recognize that the needs and expectations of seniors are evolving like never before. Aging is not simply a matter of years—it is shaped by community, culture, and changing perspectives on what it means to grow older. This presentation explores how seniors’ centres must adapt to support a new generation of older adults who seek purpose, connection, and engagement in diverse ways. Together, we will explore how the LSCO can embrace this shifting landscape and continue to thrive for the next 50 years.
Speaker: Kaitlynn Weaver
Kaitlynn Weaver is the Executive Director of the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization. She has 10 years of experience in the non-profit and human services sector and graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor's of Arts and Master's of Arts. In her Master's thesis, she explored how age is a social construction. In her spare time, Kaitlynn likes to walk her dog Scout and ride her bicycle

Cost is free, donations however, are gratefully accepted.
