Lead Fest: Career Skills Series (3 Sessions)

Lead Fest is a 3-session series designed to help students level up career-ready skills through practice, feedback, and community. You’ll build confidence for interviews and networking, strengthen teamwork and communication, and finish with a portfolio showcase focused on what industry actually looks for.

How registration works
Register once to attend any or all sessions. Session locations/details will be shared with registered attendees.

Session 1 — Interview + Networking Prep
Date/Time: Jan 9th • 12:00pm-1:30pm
Public speaking warm-up, elevator pitch practice, networking tips, and mini mock interview practice (low pressure).

Session 2 — Teamwork, Communication & Delegation Lab
Date/Time: Jan 10th • 12:00pm-1:30pm
Team challenges + clear roles to practice collaboration, delegation, and communication. Includes a short reflection on what worked and what to improve.

Session 3 — Portfolio Showcase + Critique + Awards
Date/Time: Jan 13th • 1:30pm-3:00pm
Showcase your portfolio/project and get structured feedback using an industry-style rubric (clarity, decisions, iteration, impact, communication). Awards will be given at the end.

When you register for day 3, choose ONE ticket type: Attendee (General Admission) or Presenter Slot.

Who should attend
All majors welcome. Beginners included — you can bring a work-in-progress.

What to bring
Laptop/tablet (recommended), portfolio link or project demo (optional), and questions.

Location
University of Lethbridge — room details shared after registration (may vary by session).
