Fantastic Negrito

Three-time GRAMMY winner Fantastic Negrito returns to Australia in March 2026 for special headline shows – including Meeniyan Town Hall – and select festival appearances. Renowned for his explosive energy, fierce storytelling and genre-defying sound, Negrito brings one of modern music’s most compelling journeys to the stage.

Raised in an orthodox Muslim household, he survived a failed major-label deal and a near-fatal car crash that damaged his guitar-playing hand. His resurgence began in 2015 after winning the inaugural NPR Tiny Desk Contest, sparking a new era of creative freedom and global acclaim.

Since then, he has earned three GRAMMY Awards for Best Contemporary Blues Album, performed at major festivals worldwide, and collaborated with artists from Sting to E-40. His latest album, Son of a Broken Man (2024), explores identity, deception and fatherhood. Australian audiences will now experience these powerful new songs live for the first time.
