VJ Day 80th Anniversary

Come along to Linslade Recreation Ground on Sunday 17 August, from 12:30 to 2:30pm for a relaxed afternoon marking VJ Day.

There will be live music from the Luton Brass Band, joined by vintage singer Fiona Harrison, performing well known wartime songs and classics from the 1940s.

St Barnabas Church Hall will be open for refreshments, so pop in for a cuppa and a chat.

It’s a lovely way to remember, reflect and spend time with others in the community. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy the afternoon.

In addition, the Royal British Legion LB Branch will hold a short service and wreath laying at 11am on Friday, 15 August in Linslade, to be followed by another one at Church Square at 7pm
