Bug Hunt on the Heath
This event is part of Heathland Awareness Month and also part of our Bug Lab series of events
Hunt for mini-beasts and discover heathland wildlife, followed by a bug craft activity. All equipment will be provided with experts on hand to help with identification. This Bug Lab will take place at Rushmere's Lord's Hill - please park near the visitor centre and walk down to the bottom meadow using the footpath. Car park charges will apply.
- Booking essential - no turn ups on the day please!
- Tickets £3 per child (parking charges will apply)
- All children must be accompanied by an adult
- Not suitable for under 5s (underage siblings are welcome to accompany you and do not require a ticket but we ask that they do not participate)
- Please wear long sleeves, trousers, and suitable footwear
- Outdoor event with little shelter
- No dogs please
- Stay for as long as you like during session
- While equipment and guides are provided, the session involves group work and sharing of materials
- Please note there will be a short walk to the activity area and the event takes place away from the facilities at the visitor centre
Places are limited so you'll need to book - accompanying adults are free of charge so you only need to buy a ticket for each child taking part £3.
