Beschreibung: Travellers All Stars

Seit ihrer Gründung haben Travelers All Stars versucht, die jamaikanische Musik der 1960er (und frühen 1970er) nachzuahmen, insbesondere Reggae, Rocksteady und Ska.

Der Bandname spielt auf die weiten Anfahrtswege der Musiker zu den Probeorten und Auftritten an. Das heißt, „Reisende“ ist eine Beschreibung, die den Bandmitgliedern gegeben wird, weil sie einfach vom Stadtrand von Mexiko-Stadt in einen anderen Teil der Stadt reisen.

Andererseits wurde der Namenszusatz „All Stars“ aufgrund der Tradition der Musikproduzenten in den 1960er Jahren hinzugefügt, um zu verdeutlichen, dass sich in den Reihen der Gruppe die besten Musiker („die Stars“) befanden.
