Are you curious about what motivates birds to travel hundreds of miles to nest and breed in Citrus County? If so, join us for the "Bird Naturalist Workshop."
Over 220 species and 6,500 observations have been recorded on iNaturalist in Citrus County. This area offers a wonderful and abundant environment for birds, rich in biodiversity and natural resources that support their nesting and parenting activities, from building nests to developing hunting skills.
In this workshop, you'll explore various topics, including bird behavior and migration trends and dive into birding activities, from photography to owl-pellet dissections!
Engaging in birding activities outdoors and connecting with like-minded individuals fosters a sense of belonging, promotes physical activity, and enhances mental awareness, all contributing to overall health and well-being.
Join us on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Citrus County Canning Center, located at 3405 W. Southern Street, Lecanto, FL.
