Nature in Motion: Monarch Migration Hike

Dates: Every evening from September 2 to October 13 at 6:30 pm

Location: Visitor Centre Theatre Shuttle Loop

As Monarch butterflies embark on an epic journey to Mexico, we invite you to be a part of the adventure! You will ride the shuttle down to the southern point in hopes of witnessing the incredible spectacle of Monarchs as they gather to rest before making the journey south over Lake Erie

During our hike, we will share insights into their migration patterns, lifecycle, and the importance the region plays in their journey. Together, we’ll count Monarchs, contributing to valuable data to conservation efforts aimed at protecting this magnificent species. Join us in witnessing the beauty of nature in motion!

Additional Information:
• Hike portion distance is approximately 1 km
• Bring a pair of pants and closed toed shoes in case it’s a bad fly day – it’s the best defense again a bite!
• The last shuttle will depart the tip just after sunset.
• We cannot guarantee that visitors will see Monarchs during this hike – but we hope they do!
